Directions to Tinicum Park |
Tinicum Park is located along the Delaware River at 963 River Road (PA Route 32) in Erwinna, PA 18920. Erwinna is about 2 miles south of the Bridge to Frenchtown, NJ and about 15 miles North of New Hope.
From New York, Northern New Jersey and Points North:
- Follow the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit #14 (Newark Airport / Interstate-78)
- Follow I-78 West to Exit #15 (Pittstown) and take Route 513 south.
- Go through Pittstown following Route 513 South and continue to Frenchtown
- Cross the bridge at Frenchtown to Pennsylvania
- Turn left onto Route 32 (River Road)
- Tinicum Park is 1 1/2 miles south on the right
From Philadelphia and Points South:
- Follow I-95 North to the New Hope exit
- Turn left at bottom of exit ramp onto Taylorsville Road and follow signs for New Hope and Route 32 North
- Follow Route 32 North through New Hope, Lumberville, and Point Pleasant.
- Tinicum Park is approximately 13.5 miles north of New Hope. 5.5 miles north of Point Pleasant
Alternate to traveling on Route 32
It may be faster to cross over into New Jersey on any of the Delaware River crossing bridges (as far north as Centre Bridge) and follow NJ Rt 29 North to Frenchtown. Once in Frenchtown, make a left onto Main Street and cross the bridge into Pennsylvania. Turn left onto Rt 32 (River Road). Tinicum Park is 1 1/2 miles on the right
From the Northwest:
- Follow I-78 East to the Route 412 exit
- Take Route 412 South through Hellertown and Springtown.
- In Springtown, take Route 212 East to the Delaware River.
- Turn South (right) on Route 611
- At the intersection of Route 611 and Route 32, take Route 32 about 10 miles to Tinicum Park.
From the Southwest/ Doylestown:
- From the Willow Grove exit of the PA Turnpike
- Take route 611 North for past Doylestown, through Plumsteadville to the intersection with Route 413 in Pipersville
- Turn right onto Route 413 South.
- After 1/3 mile (stop sign at the Piper Tavern) go straight onto Dark Hollow Road.
- Follow Dark Hollow Road about 5 miles to River Road.
- Turn Left onto River Road (Route 32).
- Tinicum Park is on the left side of Route 32; ½ mile after Headquarters Road
From Quakertown:
- Take Route 313 south to Route 563
- Turn left (east) on Route 563 to Route 412
- Turn right on Route 412 to intersection with Route 611
- Turn right and follow Route 611 South to Route 413 south.
- Turn left onto Route 413 south.
- After 1/3 mile (stop sign at the Piper Tavern) go straight onto Dark Hollow Road.
- Follow Dark Hollow Road about 5 miles to River Road.
- Turn Left onto River Road (Route 32).
- Tinicum Park is on the left side of Route 32; ½ mile after Headquarters Road
Other options between Route 611 and Route 32 (River Road) – From Ottsville, Headquarters Road is open to River Road. Turn right at the stop sign in Erwinna to reach Route 32. Then turn left to Tinicum Park. Also from the intersection of Routes 611 and 113, Hollow Horn Road [through the Frankenfield covered bridge] is open to Headquarters Road. Turn right onto Headquarters Road, and right at the stop sign in Erwinna.
