COMMUNITY CALENDAR Dec 2011 – March 2012

Daily - Weather permitting, tennis, basketball or ice skating at Tinicum Township’s Four Brooks Park, Cafferty & Smithtown Rds. Open dawn to dusk. Township residents only. Parking provided.
Weekdays - Recycling: Disposal of appliances and other large items is available year round. Call Twp Bldg for details. 610-294-9154. Hazardous household waste is collected by the County in the summer. Recycle Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs at all Home Depot stores free of charge.
Mondays through Thursdays – Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Center, open 10 am – 2 pm, 8040 Easton Rd, Ottsville. New members always welcome! For specific activities see the link on the main page of the Township website. 610-847-8178.
Pipersville Free Library hours: M-F 3-5 pm, T,W,Th 7-8:30 pm, Thurs.10 am – noon, and Sat. 10 am – noon. NOTE new Saturday hours! Lots of good, new books available. 215-766-7880.

Erwin-Stover House in Tinicum Park is closed during the winter and reopens with regular hours in May.
Van Sant Airport and County Park - Picnic under the trees and watch vintage aircraft. The airport offers rides to the public in gliders and a number of styles of small planes. For information 610-847-8444 or www.vansantairport.com.

Uhlerstown Hill Road closes for the winter in early December.
Mid December watch for signups for Tinicum Youth Athletic Association baseball, boys ages 8-12; softball, girls ages 8-14; Tee Ball ages 5-7. Flyers will be distributed at area schools or call Jim Stuebing 610-847-6666.

Dec 2,3: Holiday Baked Goods and Crafts Sale benefit for the Pipersville Library at First Savings Bank, Rtes 611 & 413. Crafts and baked goods, 9 AM – 7 PM Fri., 9 am – Noon Sat. or until all is sold.
