Board of Supervisors


The Tinicum Township Supervisors are the elected officials chosen by the residents for the general governance of the township. They are responsible for the operation of all township departments and for enacting and enforcing appropriate ordinances to preserve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the township. 
The township manager reports to the Board of Supervisors.

Meetings are generally the first and third Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. with only one per meeting per month in May, June, July, August, and September and November.

Meeting Dates: January 4th and 19th, February 2nd and 16th, March 2nd and 16th, April 6th and 20th, May 4th , June 1st, July 13th, August 3rd, September 14th, October 5th and 19th, November 16th, December 7th and 21st.

If you have an unlisted telephone number you are not in the CAN Emergency Notification System. There may be a time when an emergency takes place in our community due to an airborne chemical release, power outage, storm, water emergency or other hazardous condition.  Vital information may be needed to be distributed to residents and businesses in our area in a rapid fashion. The Bucks County Commissioners have acquired the services of Community Alert Network (CAN) which has a computerized telephone system that can target a general area within a township or borough or a specific area and send messages to over 13,000 phones per hour. If there was an emergency that might be a risk to our community, the Local or County Office of Emergency Management would activate the CAN system.

Since our township participates in the CAN Emergency Notification program, Tinicum Township residents with unlisted telephone numbers are asked to register with CAN for the sole purpose of emergency notification. Your phone number will not be sold or shared with anyone.  To register, click on the Bucks County Goverment's website link below:
